FAMILY TOURNAMENT
PARENTS & CHILDREN TEAM-UP IN PAIRS
MAY THE BEST FAMILY TEAM WIN

TOURNAMENT INFO
A special family-friendly fun competition where parents and children team up and compete against other families.
The Tournament will follow a simple rule-set with targets to achieve on each machine (i.e. reach a nominated score, game mode, multi-ball etc.). The highest score on each machine does not guarantee a win, tournament scoring is based on achieving certain in-game objectives which are different for each machine.
We’d love to see as many families as possible joining in the fun, and you’ll be in the running for some cool prizes.
The Family Tournament will be run during the Festival weekend on Saturday 19th September, immediately prior to our Womens Tournament.
No experience in competitive pinball is necessary to participate, our friendly Tournament Team will be on-hand to facilitate the action every step of the way.
Tournament Entry: $10
Note. Tournament entries are additional to Festival Entry Passes and can be pre-ordered online or purchased on the day at the Festival.

RULES & TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
Don’t understand the detail, no problem. Remember our Tournament Team will be there on the day to facilitate competition activities.
- The Tournament will be run using the popular “PinGolf” method.
- Machines for use during the Tournament will be pre-selected by the Tournament Director depending on the total number of registered teams.
- Each machine will have a “par” set by the Tournament Director (e.g. 50-million by Ball 2; start multiball on ball 2, finish 2 modes by ball 2 etc.).
- The par for each machine will be different depending on the specific layout and rule-set of the machine – every machine is unique. However, the par will be easily explained and attainable by pinball players of all abilities.
- Scoring is similar to transitional golf, if you reach the target you get “par” (2), if you attain the target a ball earlier you score a “birdie” (1), a ball later than expected you score a “bogey” (3), any further you score a “double-bogey” (4).
- Games on every machine will be 3-ball games.
- Each team member (Parent/Child) plays 1 ball each, followed by the third ball being played jointly (Parent and Child control one flipper each).
- Overall results are determined by combining team scores across all machines, like golf – the final tournament standards are determined by the lowest team aggregate scores.
- No team shall be allowed to substitute team members during the tournament with other family members or competitors, however one family can have multiple entries (parents/siblings).
- No competitor at any time shall interfere with another competitor, or manipulate any machine – this will result in instant disqualification from the Tournament.
- “Nudging” is permitted as part of pinball competitive play, however any rough handling of machines during game-play will forfeit the match (loss) and in extreme cases result in disqualification.
