RULES & TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
Don’t understand the detail, no problem. Remember our Tournament Team will be there on the day to facilitate competition activities.
-
Machines used during the Tournament will be the West Coast Pinball Festival’s dedicated Tournament Bank of 10 pre-selected machines.
- Qualifying will be conducted across 5-machines in Best Game format. Note. Players are not paired together for head to head matches, instead they play single-player games.
- Competitors will receive one attempt at each machine and score points based on their ranking against other players in the competition. Players will be awarded an additional 2 attempts, for which they can choose any machine to better their previous ranking.
- The scoring format to be used is the INDISC format (100/97/95…).
- Following qualifying, the top players will be selected to proceed to the finals (the cut-off will be selected based on total number of players and time remaining – min. 3 players).
- The finals will be played as a head-to-head bracket elimination format.
- The scoring from the Womens Final round will determine the final podium positions of the Tournament.
- Any ties in the Womens Final will be broken by a single game play-off on a machine chosen at random using a list randomiser. The results of the tie-break play-off will determine the final positions of both players.
- No competitor at any time shall interfere with another competitor, or manipulate any machine – this will result in instant disqualification from the Tournament.
- “Nudging” is permitted as part of pinball competitive play, however any rough handling of machines during game-play will forfeit the match (loss) and in extreme cases result in disqualification.
